RELATED STANDARDS: 4A Medical Container Label’s Indicator is classified as Type 1 according to ISO 11140-1 standard.

INTENDED USE: 4A Medical Container Label is used to control the sterilization process as well as to take notes regarding the container, packing date, expiry date, set and lot number etc. It also can be used for documentation purposes.

OPERATION CONDITIONS: 4A Medical Container Labels are designed to operate at steam cycle.

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: The sterilization indicator ink used for printing contains the following components in ppm levels:

  • Water (CAS #7732-18-5): 35%
  • Diacetone Alcohol (CAS # 123-42-2): 3%
  • Proprietary Mixture (CAS #N/A): 62%

Contains no substance specified as hazardous, which should be taken into account according to EC directives.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: Each pack contains 100 pieces. The indicator is temperature, time and steam concentration sensitive.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: The expired products are not used. It’s kept in the places with room temperature without humidity and sun lights. It shouldn’t be in contact with liquid. Damaged and defective products are not used. Shelf life is 5 years after production date. After sterilization indicator keep sterilization colour for 6 month.

PACKAGING: Packed in cardboxes.

Type 6 Steam Chemical Indicators are cycle verification indicators that confirm the presence or absence of specific time, temperature and pressure parameters during a cycle. By the means of this procedure, blood residues remaining on especially surgical instruments that cause cross infection is surely cleaned. After Washing/Disinfection steps, there might be some residues or contaminants left in varying colors that can be observed. It is very essential to identify if the residue is of blood or corrosion, in order to carry out sterilization properly or otherwise to dispose the equipment. This blood residue test developed in our laboratories is an indicator which changes color only with a specific enzyme in the blood. By using this test, it is very easy to identify trace amounts of blood. Without a need of long incubation time, our test is able to identify up to~0.1micrograms of blood in residue, faster than any other test methods, that is as short as 10 seconds
