Ethylene Oxide Tape is an adhesive tape used in EO Gas sterilization to indicate whether a specific gas has been exposed. EO Tapes have a Type 1 indicator. Ethylene Oxide Tape works by changing color after exposure to sterilization conditions. The tape also features a chemical indicator to verify that it has gone through the sterilization process. They are a safe solution for closing wrapping materials.

INTENDED USE: 4A Medical Ethylene Oxide Tapes are used to close wraps of the medical devices to be sterilized and provide visual confirmation that the package has been processed 1 in an Ethylene Oxide sterilization.

OPERATION CONDITIONS: 4A Medical Ethylene Oxide Tapes are designed to operate on 60%±10% humidity, 37°C±0.5°C for 90 min or 54°C±0.5°C for 30 min at a 600±30 mg/L Ethylene Oxide concentration. Tape is latex-free.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: 19 mm x 50 m and 25 mm x 50 m Ethylene Oxide indicator printed on crepe paper tape.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: After the wrapping process, tape can be used to prevent crepe and SMS paper opening. Do not use damaged products. Keep products at room temperature 25°C. Shelf life is 4 years after the production date.

Biological indicators are test systems containing viable microorganisms providing a defined resistance to a specific sterilization process. A biological indicator provides information on whether necessary conditions were met to kill a specified number of microorganisms for a given sterilization process, providing a level of confidence in the process. Steam Biological Indicator (3h and 24h) is specifically designed for the monitoring steam sterilization processes at 121 – 134 °C. The final readout of a processed biological indicator with respect to the indicator type should be made after 3 hours (4ARSBI) or 24h (4ASBI) of incubation at 60+/- 2 °C.

PCD- Helix Load Control Test has a self adhesive indicator on the far end. The PCD test kit has a 1 m long hose, and the Helix test kit has a 1.5 m long hose. There are 100 indicators in each package. In this product used for load control, the adhesive indicator is placed at the far end of the test apparatus, steam inlet only can be at the beginning of the hose and it can reach the chemical indicator at the end of the hose by passing at a single point. If the chemical indicator color change is achieved despite the difficult conditions, it is an important reference for the sterilization process in that load and should be recorded as a record for the successful sterilization of the load.

The color change should be interpreted that the sterilization was not successful.
