4A Medical Incubator is designed to incubate 4ASBI (24 hours) steam biological indicators for steam sterilization process, 4AEOBI Ethylene Oxide biological indicators for EO sterilization process and 4APBI plasma biological indicators for Hydrogen Peroxide sterilization process. Incubation temperatures vary depending on the indicator, because the microorganisms included within the Biological Indicators differentiate based on the sterilizing method for which they were created. Three incubation programs are available: MOD 1 – 48 hours at 370C for EO biological indicators, MOD 2 – 24 hours at 570C for steam biological indicators and MOD 3 – 24 hours at 600C for plasma biological indicators. The incubator makes it simple to identify positive and negative results for Biological Indicators. If the sterilization success is negative, the color of the culture media turns yellow. The color change should be interpreted that the sterilization was not successful.

RELATED STANDARDS: 4A Medical Instrument Protector’s Indicator is classified as Type 1 according to ISO 11140-1 standard.

INTENDED USE: 4A Medical Instrument Protector keeps the tips of instruments from penetrating the sterile pouch. It holds the instrument in an open position for proper sterilization. It is for use inside a single peel pouch.

OPERATION CONDITIONS: 4A Medical Instrument Protectors are designed to operate at steam cycle.

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: The sterilization indicator ink used for printing contains the following components in ppm levels:

  • Water (CAS #7732-18-5): 35%
  • Diacetone Alcohol (CAS#123-42-2): 3%
  • Proprietary Mixture (CAS #N/A): 62%

Contains no substance specified as hazardous, which should be taken into account according to EC directives.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: Each pack contains 100 pieces. The indicator is temperature, time, and steam concentration sensitive. Standard dimensions are 50mm x 125mm and 75mm x 150mm. Any other dimension can be made on request.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: The expired products are not used. It’s kept in places with room temperature without humidity and sunlight. It shouldn’t be in contact with liquid. Damaged and defective products are not used. Shelf life is 5 years after the production date. After sterilization, the indicator keeps its sterilization color for 6 months.

PACKAGING: Packed in cardboxes.
